Nagui Elyas

Executive Partner

Nagui works with investment team members and other Executive Partners to identify, analyze, and assess potential investment opportunities. He has a deep experience in developing and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems, employing a hands-on, lead-by-example style that fosters a culture of teamwork and dedication to operational excellence.

Nagui began his career as a medical doctor in private practice from 1980 to 1988. During this period, he also served as the Medical Director of several nursing homes in Alexandria, Egypt. In 1989, he moved to the United States and transitioned into higher education, focusing on Allied Health vocational training and education. Nagui became the COO of Nova Institute, a chain of four schools, where he excelled in creating managerial teams with clear vision, strategic guidance, continuous development, and the organizational structure necessary for a coordinated approach among all stakeholders.

Nagui co-founded B&H Education Inc. and served as its President and COO from 2004 to 2016. Under his leadership, the number of campuses grew from 17 schools in two states in 2004 to 62 schools in seven states by 2015. During this period, he also increased the company’s annual revenue from $23.4 million to $120 million and boosted EBITDA from $1.4 million to $12 million. In 2018, Nagui founded Skilado, a skill training platform serving the healthcare, education, and hospitality fields. He currently serves as CEO and chairman of Tekleen-Automatic Filters, which provides self-cleaning automatic water filters for industrial and commercial use.

Nagui also brings international experience to the sector. Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, he has led several healthcare-related vocational training projects in the MENA region and is well-versed in cross-border curriculum development and vocational training, particularly in the healthcare space.

In his free time, Nagui enjoys golf, outdoor hiking, and reading.
